Forbes ranks Jamaica best country in Caribbean to do business

Forbes Best Countries for Business Report has ranked Jamaica 64 out of 146 nations making it the best country in the Caribbean region to do business and third in Latin America and the Caribbean. Forbes, a leading international business magazine, determined the Best Countries for Business by grading 146 nations on 11 different factors: property rights, innovation, taxes, technology, corruption, freedom (personal, trade and monetary), red tape, investor protection and stock market performance. The CBI Act provides economic aid to Jamaica (and 23 other countries in the Caribbean and Central America) through the waiver of tariff benefits. Most products manufactured or grown in CBI beneficiary countries are eligible for duty-free entry into the United States
Capital from Jamaica can also circulate freely in other CSME countries. Jamaica has also negotiated and signed FTAs with Argentina, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
